arun, dont use sify. Sify, for me doesnt exist. They are the worst service providers. I have a beef with them since LONG BACK!

sify is the worst isp provider i have ever come across. My self worked as a cafe admin in sify-iway,had a bad experince in dealing with them.

Note: Broadband connection should have atleast 256kpbs not less than that.I

How's the Airtels recently launched unlimited plans at 64kbps and 256kbps for 700/- or so, have to find out the details? Does anybody knows about these plan?

There are no such plans! I checked out their site right now.

hiren, orange doesnt have broadband services in Mumbai while airtel is proving to be a trustworthy brand. I have spoken to sujay and many others currently using Airtel broadband and they have only good things to say about airtel service and support .

Finally, SIFY case decided in my favor...
Court held SIFY has been indulging in unfair trade practices... !!!

You bet,I surely am interested in this.
I did have issues with them,but each one of them were reduced to a `below tolerable` level.
Recently in my area the business franchisee has further reduced the maintenance charges(the primary issue I had with them) for data-transfer limited packages although S.i..f..y's own rates remain the same.In my last post in that thread,the plan selling for Rupees 320 at that time now sells for Rupees 300.....and I am sure this is no `festive` offer.
It feels so good to read that after all this ranting about them,they finally state about the extra location-dependent maintenance charges payable by users,in their leaf-lets,advertise-ments in news-papers and hoardings on roads and bus-stops.My goal behind creating that thread had been completely achieved......what is more,after that,I have been getting about 96 k. b. p. s. of band-width as opposed to the 64 k. b. p. s. payed for.
In fact,some-times the speed goes as fast as the speed of doing a quick format (file-system:ext2) of a floppy diskette ( link )
In this case,the proverb has repeatedly proved it-self right
