Monitor becomes blank

HI all
I have one proble with me. I have a PC with GIGABYTE GA-8I915ME MB, Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB HDD and 1GB Ram (Upgrad from 256+256 DDR333 ). Before upgradation it was working fine but after adding 1 GB with 256 DDR333 my PC had problem with the display. sometime it becomes blue screen with no process and sometimes it becomes hattched lined. I have tried to re-install winXP SP2 and Also I have changed the motherboard 3 times. I could not come to fruitful. Please help me out with this.

Hi MAULIN79,

Replace the old 256 RAM on the board, if the problem gets solved then it is due to the frequency mismatch of the 1GB RAM with your motherboard.
Check your motherboard manual for supported RAM.

it might be that your board does not support single module of 1GB try with 512*2 modules and by matching frequency.
